The place is blessed with the most beautiful hill stations, places like Rishikesh, Mussoorie, Almora, Haridwar are major tourist places in Uttarakhand but still, there are places which are yet to be explored. The undefined beauty of Uttarakhand lies in its untouched nature and unexplored hills where the only luxury is serenity and tranquillity. Here I have listed some of the places which aren’t commercialized tourist destinations and hence can be your next unexplored destinations in Uttarakhand.

1. Mussoorie - Mussoorie is
a hill station and a municipal board in the Dehradun District of the Indian
state of Uttarakhand. It is about 35 kilometres from the state capital of
Dehradun and Mussoorie is the most popular places to visit in Uttarakhand.
Mussoorie is another super popular weekend destination for north Indians, as
well as honeymooners.
2. Rishikesh - Rishikesh is
a city in India’s northern state of Uttarakhand, in the Himalayan foothills
beside the Ganges River. The river is considered holy, and the city is renowned
as a center for studying yoga and meditation. Temples and ashrams (centers for
spiritual studies) line the eastern bank around Swarg Ashram, a traffic-free,
alcohol-free and vegetarian enclave upstream from Rishikesh town, A thrilling white water rafting in Rishikesh
is an experience of a lifetime and is one of best things to do in Uttarakhand.
3. Nainital - Nainital is a
Himalayan resort town in the Kumaon region of India’s Uttarakhand state, at an
elevation of roughly 2,000m. Formerly a British hill station, it’s set around
Nainital Lake, a popular boating site with Naina Devi Hindu Temple on its north
shore. A cable car runs to Snow View observation point (at 2,270m), with vistas
over the town and mountains including Nanda Devi, Uttarakhand’s highest peak
and a popular getaway for couples and families is Nainital.
4. Haridwar - Haridwar is
an ancient city and important Hindu pilgrimage site in North India's
Uttarakhand state, where the River Ganges exits the Himalayan foothills. The
largest of several sacred ghats (bathing steps), Har Ki Pauri hosts a nightly
Ganga Aarti (river-worshipping ceremony) in which tiny flickering lamps are
floated off the steps. Worshipers fill the city during major festivals
including the annual Kanwar Mela. The differing idea of the Hindu religion has
pulled in remote guests from all around the world, Haridwar is one of them.
5. Dehradun - Dehradun is
the capital of the Indian state of Uttarakhand, near the Himalayan foothills.
At its core is the 6-sided Ghanta Ghar clock tower. To the southwest is Paltan
Bazaar, a busy shopping area. Just east is the Sikh temple Gurdwara Nanaksar,
topped with ornate white and golden domes. In Clement Town to the city’s
southwest, Mindrolling Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist center with shrine rooms
in its Great Stupa.
6. Mukteshwar - Mukteshwar is
a town and tourist destination in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, India.
It sits high in the Kumaon Hills at an altitude of 2286 meters, 51 km from
Nainital, 72 km from Haldwani, and 343 km from Delhi, Mukteshwar gets its name
from a 350-year-old temple of Shiva, known as Mukteshwar Dham, situated atop
the highest point in the town, on the veterinary institute's campus. Close to
it lie the overhanging cliffs, locally known as Chauli-ki-Jali, used for rock
climbing and rappelling, with an excellent view of the valleys below.
7. Bhimtal - Bhimtal is a
town and a nagar panchayat in Nainital district in the state of Uttarakhand,
India, situated at an altitude of 1370 meters above sea level and is about 22
kilometers from Nainital. The major attraction in Bhimtal is the Bhimtal Lake,
which has an island at its centre, Bhimtal is one of the biggest lake around
Nainital.
8. Almora - Almora is
located on a ridge at the southern edge of the Kumaon Hills of the Himalaya
range, at a distance of 363 km (via NH9) from the national capital New Delhi.
Nestled within higher peaks of the Himalaya, Almora enjoys a year-round mild
temperate climate. Almora is well known for its natural life, culture and cooking
styles. The town is situated at a normal height of 1,646 meters above ocean
level and was known as 'Rajapur' during the rule of the Chand lords.
9. Kausani – Kausani is a
hill station and Village situated in Bageshwar district in the state of Uttarakhand,
India. It is famous for its scenic splendour and its spectacular 300 km-wide
panoramic view of Himalayan peaks like Trisul, Nanda Devi and Panchchuli.
10. Char Dham - The Char Dham
is a set of four pilgrimage sites in India. Vaishnavite Hindus believe that
visiting these sites helps achieve "Moksha". It comprises Badrinath,
Dwaraka, Puri and Rameswaram. It is considered by Hindus that every Hindu must
visit the char dhams during one's lifetime, They were built up by Adi Shankaracharya
in the eighth century AD.
